Packing

Packing for SwimVacation

One key element to smooth travel is packing lightly. Moving through airports is easy (and cheaper!) when you can cruise right past drop-off and pick-up points for checked bags. We strongly encourage our guests to travel with only a carry-on backpack or duffle bag, as you can typically fit everything you need for a week of swimming with us in one bag. We provide things like shampoo, conditioner and sunblock (SPF 30), so no need to worry about getting those liquids through security screening. And if you do bring a water bottle (always a good idea!), just be sure to empty it before you hit the carry-on bag screening.

If you decide you absolutely must check a bag, be sure to use a soft, collapsible piece of luggage that can be easily stowed in your yacht cabin or airy, uncluttered room in Hawaii. We will have sunblock on board for you, but if you do decide to bring your own, please do not bring aerosol spray sunblock as it makes for a dangerously slippery boat.

Below is a typical packing list for one of our female guests:

  • Passport

  • Yoga pants

  • Tank top

  • Long sleeve shirt

  • Sandals

That's it! She was ready for SwimVacation, paid no baggage fees, and zipped through the airports!

Notice what she didn't need to bring:

Sunblock (It’s on the boat!)
Shampoo, Conditioner & Soap (It's on the boat!)
Towel (Lots of big soft towels on the boat!)
Swim cap (We'll provide!)
