Passport & Insurance

Most places we visit require a passport that expires no sooner than six months from entry date to that particular country. It’s important to check the expiration date of your passport as soon as you book your trip to be sure you’ll be in the clear. For assistance with obtaining a new US passport or renewing a US passport, please see https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html.

When you book your SwimVacation, we will ask you to send us a photo of the picture page of your passport so that we have the information required by our yacht charter company. When you copy that page, save the file to a secure location that can be easily accessed by someone you trust at home should you need it while abroad.

Most importantly, pack your passport in your carry-on and double check it before you leave for the airport!

SwimVacation requires all of our guests and crew to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. We also require all of our participants to obtain a travel insurance plan that includes both medical and medical evacuation coverage in the unlikely event you become injured or ill and need to be returned home in a hurry. We are unaffiliated with any insurer or insuring websites, but we recommend www.insuremytrip.com to find the insurance plan that will work best for you.

We know that travel insurance can be a confusing thing to tackle. Still have questions? Hopper breaks the options down for you here!
